Video on hold
David - Things have slowed down a bit around here. We do a pretty good amount of walking around and wondering why this city has so many women cops. I'm pretty sure most of them don't know what they're doing. Not to say that all women cops don't know what their doing, it just seems that way around here.
Todd and I found a local pub to go to where the real Irish people go. The average age was probably around 55. We sat at the bar and watched the bar tender call out each person's name when their drink was ready. I made the mistake of raising my glass to an older lady who was very drunk sitting next to me. What followed was a barrage of sputters and sounds that could only been comprehended by another drunk Irish. At one point she spilled her beer on my leg. A little bit later an old man had his arm completely around Todd talking about his son, or horse racing, or anything else. We had no idea. So we nodded and smiled our way through their attention span until they stumbled back to their own kind in the corner. It was really fun though and I think the drunk people were nice. They laughed at their own jokes while they were talking to us, so I assumed what they were talking about was something positive.
There is a kink in the video uploads. Apparently I don't have the right cord to upload video on Todd's computer, where all the room is. My crappy video software doesn't upload in HD so we have to buy another cord so that we can hook it up to Todd's computer. But it's coming. Soon.
I made some spaghetti. Our toilet doesn't flush well. The sink leaks when I shave. I woke up swinging my arms at a bug in my dream last night. People here have bad teeth. It's time for bed, more coming later.

The Room

Here is the room we are staying in. I have the window bed and David has the bed that looks out the door. He gives a pretty awkward look to those walking by.... I'm still trying to understand who actually lives in this house. It's fairly global. A few Brazilians, Spaniards, a Scottish girl...and a few others who kinda hang around. The Brazilians play ultra annoying music right by my window.

P.S. I am still trying to figure out how to handle this blog and code it. I didn't decide this picture placement....

Begin the great beard hunt of 2009
David - I am no seasoned blogger by any means, but since Todd has a dominate camera to post good pictures I suppose I can give this a try. I've been here since June 30th grinding this place out on my own. There have been rough patches, but now that reinforcements have arrived, things are better. We decided to do a project concerning the many beards of Ireland. It will be a 4 month project. Any time we see a beard big enough to be classified as a 'Big Bushy Beard', we get out the camera and record a short clip of it in its natural habitat. I have included a still picture of the first beard in our catalog. This is just an example of the many diverse styles of beards here in Dublin. I think I'll title this beard "Train Conductor". With this caliber of a man, this is probably 2 days growth, at most.
I got a job offer at a place called "With Taste" yesterday. I think I'm waiting tables, but I'm not sure because I can't understand most Irish people. I go in for training next Thursday, so I'll find out for sure then. That's it for now, I'm off to the business room.
